Handcrafted, this half mala consists of:
- 54 main wooden beads
- 5 gold coloured spacer beads
- 1 wooden guru bead
- 1 tower bead
- 1 pink tassel
- 1 gold coloured Lotus charm
- pink cording
The half mala is intended to be repeated two times during your mediation practice. From tip of the tassel to the top of the folded mala, it is 13" long.
Pink is playful and kind with a calming and nurturing effect. It is comforting and encourages compassion, romance, femininity, intuition and love.

The Guru Bead is your teacher. It is said to hold your prayers and intentions. When using your mala for meditation, begin by holding the guru bead and setting your intention for your practice.
HOW TO USE YOUR BEADS
108 is a sacred number, and is represented in your mala with the 54 wooden bead, repeated 2 times. When taking time for reflection or meditation, begin by holding your guru bead with your right hand, between your thumb and middle finger and connecting to your breath as you set your intention or mantra. (Avoid holding the beads with your index finger as this signifies ego.) This can be anything you choose. From a single word that has a special meaning to you in that moment, a phrase that brings you the energy you require, or a symbol that ignites something in you. Once your intention is set, move your thumb and middle finger to the first bead and recite or envision your mantra or symbol. A mantra, word or phrase, may be thought, or spoken aloud. Feel the bead and turn it between the thumb and middle finger as you take a full breath. Repeat this with each of the 54 beads, reciting the same mantra, committing to the same intention and taking a deep breath. When you return to your guru bead, reset your intention and reverse, repeating once more over the 54 beads to complete the 108. On the second round when returning to the guru bead, completing the circle, seal your intention by holding the guru bead once again for a few more breaths to end your practice. On your mala, there are counter beads that you will pass during your practice. When you come to a counter bead, use it to return to your original mantra or intention, as it is in our nature to allow the mind to wander. If you have remained focused to this point, then simply pass the counter bead, using it as a marker to know where you are in your practice.
